It's time to treat you to more from my current work-in-progress.
This is the scene where Dante meets his other half for the first time. I skipped only a little from last week's tease.
This is still a first draft so please pardon any errors.

Tossing back the shot, I caught the eye of the young waiter
who sauntered over and took my refill order. As I waited, I noticed the men
around watching. One took a step in my direction. With an imperceptible shake
of my head I dissuaded him from coming closer, still too tense to entertain
company.
Here for the weekend, I'd be back in my old haunt, in my territory, the day after tomorrow. The
surroundings were unfamiliar and despite the joint being jam-packed, a gap lay
between me and the nearest person around, as if a force-field has created a
demarcation zone.
The waiter brought my refill. I took a sip and relaxed into
the leather chair, welcoming the gentle alcoholic haze in my mind that stripped
away my agitation. My gaze trawled, exploring every male form in sight. Were
they here on a weekend break or locals out for a night of fun?
Then I spotted him.
Holy shit. My heart stopped.
If I wasn't usually cool under duress, I would've been
drooling. And he wasn't my usual type.
He was what? Twenty? Twenty-one? Cute as hell in a smart
pale blue t-shirt and navy trousers made of expensive shiny fabric that clung
to a lean body. Face like a fucking angel, dirty blond hair that flopped over
his face and reminded me of Heath Ledger in A Knight's Tale.
It was his eyes that got me. They were dark and huge in a sad
puppy way and yet mischief shone in their depths as he smiled at me and wasted
no time walking over.
"Can I buy you a drink," he said, giving me a ten
kilo-watt smile. His eyes of dark amber held me in their sway for a moment
until I remembered he wasn't my type. I liked them tougher than he looked. Not
delicate. Not someone I had to worry about breaking. He came across as
prep-school material and looked young enough to still be in college.
"I've got a drink, thank you," I replied, lifting
my glass to my lips.
He lowered his body into the chair opposite me. "I'm
Carl." He extended his hand toward me. "A pleasure to meet you."
I stared at his hand, slender, manicured, long fingers that
didn't look as if they'd seen a day's labour, reinforcing the feeling he wasn't
for me. It didn't stop me from picturing them wrapped around my cock as he drew
me into his mouth.
"I didn't invite you to join me." I managed to get
the words out in a cool manner, despite the heat riding my blood.
"You didn't." he shrugged.
"I'm not interested."
