He couldn't wait to have me all alone #midweektease #amwriting #mmromance

Welcome back to Mid-Week Tease hosted by Sandra Bunino.
It's time to treat you to more from my current work-in-progress.

Last week we got into Carl's POV. This carries on from where that left off.

This is still a first draft so pardon any errors. (I should mention that I write in UK English)

Saying that was asking for trouble #midweektease #amwriting #mmromance

Welcome back to Mid-Week Tease hosted by Sandra Bunino.
It's time to treat you to more from my current work-in-progress.

Last week we had Dante saving Carl in the alley from the two men. This week, I've moved on from that scene a little and we are now in a taxi with both of then heading to Dante's hotel. This is in Carl's POV.

Now a killer has forced Detective Monroe to face the past and the only man his heart has ever wanted. With only one shot at redemption, Alaric is determined to uncover to truth and bring his lover home.

When discovering the one secret that has kept them apart for eight years unravels an entire hidden life can Alaric and Davin survive the revelations that follow?

Delivering death ranked high on my skill set #midweektease #amwriting #mmromance

Welcome back to Mid-Week Tease hosted by Sandra Bunino.
It's time to treat you to more from my current work-in-progress.
You might want to read last week's tease to see how Dante and Carl got here.
This is still a first draft so pardon any errors. (I should mention that I write in UK English)

I stepped into the warm night, looked left and right before heading in the direction of some dark alleys I'd seen earlier. The man Carl had followed out didn't look like the book-a-room type of guy. I gambled that he planned to get down and dirty out here on the grimy streets. I didn't have far to go before I heard the voices.
"I said I'm not interested anymore." I recognised the voice immediately as Carl's. It still had a note of defiance in there masking the fear I could hear in the tremble of his voice.

He didn't look like someone used to getting rejected #MidWeekTease #amwriting #MMRomance

Welcome back to Mid-Week Tease hosted by Sandra Bunino.
It's time to treat you to more from my current work-in-progress.
I'm so glad y'all enjoyed last week's tease, so I've followed on from there for this week.
This is still a first draft so please pardon any errors.

"I'm not interested."
"I bet I could make you interested." He leaned across and settled his hand on my thigh.
Tingles shot up my leg straight to my balls.  Stifling a groan, my body tensed as I fought for control. This boy set my veins alight with very little effort. My response to him left me speechless for a moment as he smirked at me as if he knew exactly how he made me feel.
"Move along, pretty boy," I growled.
He stiffened, sat up straight. "I'm not a boy. I'm twenty-one."
"Still not my type."
From his wounded expression he didn't look like someone used to getting rejected.
"Whatever. Your loss." He stood and turned away.
The way the trousers hugged his ass as he walked away made me even harder, if that was possible.
I tossed my drink back, determined not to regret dismissing him. I was looking for just a hook up, not a relationship. There was something I'd seen in his gaze that awakened my protective instincts. If I allowed him one night, I wasn't sure I'd be able to let him go. And that would only lead to danger. For him.
My eyes followed his progress and soon he engaged in conversation with another, a big tattooed man who looked like he could crush Carl in his hands. I shifted in my chair and my body stiffened. Did the boy have a death wish or what?
I ordered another drink, ignoring them as they headed in the direction of the exit. The knot in my stomach didn't go away. When the waiter brought my drink, I growled at the persistent niggling in my mind, tossed some notes on the table and headed for the door.
I stepped into the warm night, looked left and right before heading in the direction of some dark alleys I'd seen earlier. The man Carl had followed out didn't look like the book-a-room type of guy. I gambled that he planned to get down and dirty out here on the grimy streets. I didn't go far before I heard the voices.

A review of Heart's Song by @CharityParkerso #MMRomance

BOOK SYNOPSIS

Hawke swore one day he’d hate Maddox for using him…
Maddox, lead singer of the band, Ugly Eternity, is a man of many secrets. Unfortunately, Hawke isn’t one of them. He’s been openly using Hawke for his delicious body for over a year, taunting him with a half-life, and always giving him just enough hope to keep him hanging on.
When three tiny and heartless words finally break Hawke, the day of reckoning arrives…
Even though Maddox knew Hawke would one day grow tired of his games, Maddox never expected how thoroughly the other man would cut him from his life. Left with no other recourse, Maddox is forced to live on Hawke’s terms to have any chance of reclaiming Hawke’s heart.
But in Hawke’s determination to rid himself of the sexy singer, he failed to consider one major detail—he belongs to Maddox.

BOOK REVIEW

Maddox has been doing things to push Hawke away for a while and when Hawke finally gives up trying to make Maddox love him and walks away, wiping the other man from his life, Maddox suddenly realises, he can't do without Hawke and will do anything to get him back.

I have to admit, this was a book I didn't want to put down once I'd started reading it. The back and forth between Maddox and Hawke was heart-wrenching to read because you knew these two loved each other. There were just other things at play stopping them from really opening up to each other. Despite their faults, I cheered them one all the way, even wanting to knocked their head together at one point to make them see sense.
The other characters in the book also fascinated me, including Jamie who's story is coming up next. I can't wait.

Four wheels move the body...A Gorgeous Mess @LaylaWolfeAutho #MMRomance

Four wheels move the body. Two wheels move the soul.

ANSON: I was just a mercenary back from fighting the good fight overseas. I was on a quest for my father, my roots, looking for answers. Turk Blackburn, Bent Zealots MC Prez, ordered me on a fresh operation to prove myself, my guts, my valor. Infiltrate the Navajo Rez and find out who is claiming the Zealots’ turf, using kids to cook drugs.

My partner is the famous badge slut, Ormond Tangier, known far and wide for his mad oral skills, his subservience to anyone in uniform. Mercenaries don’t wear badges, but my dominant side soon has me all over that seductive Spanish servant. A man may as well have a few laughs while on a fatal mission. Because these things never end pleasantly.

ORMOND: I was flung into a life-or-death battle against the slimy Iceman, leader of a rival MC. Iceman is running all sorts of questionable ops on Bent Zealots land, and now Anson and I have to prove our street creds just to stake a claim in our own backyard.

I’m a friend of cops, firemen, and soldiers alike, but suddenly I only want one man ordering me around. Anson Dineyazzie, macho half-breed hired gun, has stolen more than just my heart. This was never supposed to happen.
