Someone else stood at the door, blocking it.
Sergei.

Without the hooded outfit, he was stunning. Like a dark angel. His hair was jet black and longish, turning into curls around his neck, softening the perfect hardness of his face. His gaze settled on me and his lips curved into a half smile.

My breath caught, heart thumping against my chest. I couldn’t look away from him.

“Hello again, Ashley.”

The soft way he said my name made tingles travel down my spine. My mouth dried out as I watched him stride across the room like a tiger stalking deer.
