I got the round one edits for Sicario back from editor yesterday. From her comments, she loved Enzo and Lexan so much she couldn't stop reading and got through the manuscript quicker than she'd planned.

You can imagine how happy her comments made me. *big grin here* Especially since I've had a nasty cold for days. 

So today I bring you a teaser from Sicario. In this scene, it's Lexan's first night on Enzo's ranch. He and Enzo are caught out by a storm so they take shelter in a cabin out on the range. Things are just starting to heat up between them. Enjoy.

It was raining heavily outside and I was stuck in a small cabin with Enzo, who I have to say, made my breath catch every time I looked at his nearly-naked body.

He was bigger than me, no doubt. But I liked that. Liked men who appeared as if they could overpower me.

A thrill raced down my spine as I watched the muscles on his body ripple as he wrapped his towel over his hips. Olive skin wrapped around sinews sculpted through hard work out here on the ranch.  I wanted to feel those muscles pressing up against me, holding me down.

I headed for the porch of the cabin and climbed the stairs. “You’re going to have to take your clothes off out here. Gianna will kill me if we drip water all over the wooden floor inside. It only got replaced recently.”

I said the words in a matter of fact tone as I sat on the top step to pull my boots off.

“Okay,” he said and mirrored what I did.

My pulse raced. I'd see him without clothes.
